What sets Aon Apart
Our mission: We are driven to empower economic and human possibility for clients, colleagues and communities around the world. These aren't just words at Aon. In an increasingly volatile world, our work is about creating greater security, stability and opportunity for our clients and their people.
Our clients: At Aon, everything starts with the client. The Aon Client Promise sets the foundation for trusted client relationships. We put listening to our client's needs and understanding their goals at the heart of everything we do.
Our colleagues. Being a part of Aon means having opportunities to make a difference - whether you support a local organisation, serve a large global account or support colleagues who support clients. Join Aon, and you'll find many moments when you know you've done something worthwhile.
In our inclusive culture, everyone has opportunities for growth and development. We know that leveraging the diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences of our colleagues improves work quality, fosters innovation, and enhances results.

Our People
We're committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture—one where colleagues feel empowered to unleash their full potential while expanding client and community impact and enabling business growth. We believe diversity drives insight, and that by giving the top talent seats at our table, we’ll produce the best outcome for clients.
To be a leading professional services firm, we must model an inclusive work environment and unmatched and diverse talent strategy. This will allow us opportunities to:
-
Better anticipate, understand and serve our clients and communities.
-
Attract, grow and retain the best colleagues.
-
Outperform for the benefit of shareholders.
Our Inclusion Commitment
An inclusive culture is one where we all feel encouraged to bring our authentic selves to work…every day. Inclusion at Aon is characterised by a sense of belonging; where colleagues feel respected and valued for who they are. It’s the achievement of a work environment where everyone can do their best work, have fair and equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to the firm's success.
One of the ways Aon is ensuring progress is by providing colleagues with the opportunity to demonstrate their personal commitment to inclusion. By voluntarily and visibly pledging "I'm in," they can indicate their support for every colleague to be themselves, where non-inclusive behaviour is not tolerated or accepted. The alignment and integration of this and other inclusion best practices, across all areas of Aon, will drive business growth while creating valuable opportunities for clients, colleagues and communities.
Our Community
We have a distinct responsibility to have a sustainable, positive impact on our communities and our colleagues. We go to great lengths to make certain our operations are environmentally friendly and help clients "go green"—while adhering to the most rigorous business conduct standards.
Aon’s community initiatives are underpinned by relationships with local charity partnerships and we strive to support organisations who represent initiatives in education, welfare, healthcare & research, and the environment. We aim to create a meaningful and lasting impact through our community involvement through select relationships with four charity partners.
Our volunteers represent the best of Aon by demonstrating a commitment to service that extends beyond our day-to-day business responsibilities and into our communities. Each year, Aon Australia colleagues volunteer with our local partners in addition to the thousands of hours of service devoted to charitable organisations and educational institutions around the world.
Aon’s annual Empower Results Day for Communities has a significant impact through our volunteer efforts, here is a recent snapshot.
